On May 9, 2023, Huawei conducted a launch event in Munich where it announced the Huawei P60 Pro smartphone and the Mate X3 foldable phone. The brand also unveiled a new smartwatch at the event.
The newest wearables are the Huawei Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro. It arrives as a successor to the Huawei Watch 3 series from last year. Read on to find out what smartwatches have to offer out of the box.
Huawei Watch 4 Pro series specifications
The Huawei Watch 4 series features a circular dial with rotating crown and physical buttons on the right side.
The standard variant comes in a 46mm stainless case while the pro model is offered in a gigantic 48mm case with the Huawei Watch 4 Pro featuring a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display.
Both smartwatches come with an Always-on display with a number of planetary clock faces. They are also water resistant up to 5 meters.
On the health-focused front, the Huawei Watch 4 series is equipped with a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, EKG, skin temperature, stress tracker, arterial stiffness indicator and respirator health data. It was able to aggregate all seven parameters into a one-minute seven-point health review.
The wearable supports over 100 training modes along with an AI running coach. There is also a fall detection feature that sends an SOS in one tap.
The Huawei Watch 4 Pro gets LTE connectivity via eSIM as well as built-in GPS which the standard variant doesn’t have. The Watch 4 and 4 Pro are rated to last up to 3 and 4.5 days, respectively.
