Review iPhone 12 | iPhone 12 Mini –Along with the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, Apple has also released a basic version of the iPhone 12 which comes with the iPhone 12 mini as a complement to the iPhone 12 Series family.

Although it’s not as premium as the iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max, the iPhone 12 comes with cool specifications. But what is no less interesting is the iPhone 12 mini which is the most affordable variant.

Starting with the iPhone 12, we get a 6.1-inch Super XDR OLED panel that produces a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels with a brightness of 1,200 nits and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz.

iPhone 12 is powered by the world’s first 5nm chipset called A14 Bionic which has a total of 11.8 billion transistors, 40% more packed in a 6x CPU configuration that includes 2x powerful cores and 4x efficient cores.

That helps with a quad-core GPU and Apple claims that the A14 Bionic is 50% faster than its predecessor. In addition, the chipset can deliver machine learning 80% faster.

That in turn will bring faster performance from Face unlock to camera operations. But last but not least, the presence of the A14 Bionic allows the iPhone 12 to get 5G connectivity that works on mmWave networks and sub-6GHz 5G.

Talking about the camera, the iPhone 12 gets a new 12 megapixel wide camera that is 27% brighter with an aperture of f / 1.6 and is combined with a 12 megapixel ultrawide camera.

The iPhone 12 features Apple’s new Smart HDR 3 with improved white balance, texture and saturation. In addition, the main camera is equipped with OIS and support for shooting Night Mode images which also applies to selfie cameras.

Another highlight on the iPhone 12 is the MagSafe feature which is Apple’s new wireless charging system for seamlessly connecting to the back of the iPhone 12. It supports 15W wireless charging and there’s also a Wired charging option up to 20W.

But you’ll have to buy the charger separately, as Apple only provides a USB-C to Lightning cable and has removed the charger and the Earpods. It also makes the iPhone 12 retail box smaller, it’s made of biodegradable materials as a step towards reducing carbon emissions.

iPhone 12 mini, this smartphone packs a Super XDR OLED screen measuring 5.4 inches which is quite small compared to most 5G phones out there by offering a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels along with a brightness of 1200 nits like its sibling.

Apart from the smaller size, most of the specifications of the iPhone 12 mini are the same as the iPhone 12, including the hardware, camera system, wireless charging, up to an IP68 rating.
