Review Xiaomi Redmi Watch 2 – the company launched the Redmi Watch 2, as previously rumored. This smartwatch is the successor of the Redmi Watch which was released in 2020.
Redmi Watch 2 with model number M2102W1 uses polycarbonate (plastic) material like its predecessor. However, the screen now appears larger, measuring 1.6 inches AMOLED with a better resolution of 320 x 360 pixels.
Redmi equips the product with 5 ATM water resistance and has a track swim feature. Overall, this smartwatch offers 117 sport modes with auto-detection for several modes.
Redmi Watch 2 has important sensors including optical heart rate, Sp02 sensor for monitoring blood oxygen levels, accelerometer, gyroscope, and light sensor. The device runs customized RTOS and can connect with Android 5.0 and above smartphones and iOS 10.0 and above via Bluetooth 5.0.
Unlike smartwatches in its class, Redmi Watch 2 is equipped with GNSS (BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO) for accurate activity tracking. It also features NFC for travel tickets and access control. The power is claimed to last 12 days of normal use, 7 days of heavy use, and 18 hours of GNSS use, with a 225 mAh battery capacity.
