Review Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro – The POCO X3 Pro comes with a punch-hole design or the company that calls it DotDisplay by bringing a 6.67-inch diagonal LCD panel coated with Gorilla Glass 6 which offers Full HD Plus resolution and supports 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
In terms of design, the POCO X3 Pro does look similar to the regular version. Likewise the back, where this phone has a dual texture body with a fingerprint-resistant material. But what’s more interesting is the quad-camera system packed in an X formation complete with an LED flash.
The four cameras consist of a 48 megapixel main camera which is further combined with an 8 megapixel ultrawide lens. There is also a pair of 2 megapixel cameras, each of which acts as a depth sensor and a macro camera. One 20 megapixel selfie camera is in a punch hole in the middle of the screen.
The main highlight of the POCO X3 Pro is the Snapdragon 860 as hardware and is the first smartphone to use it. This is a brand-new chipset from Qualcomm which is built on a 7nm process by offering a better performance boost over the Snapdragon 855 Plus.
It’s still based on the Kryo 485 CPU which is now said to be 71% faster, while the Adreno 640 as a graphics processor has increased by 145% and 192% on the AI Engine. But unfortunately, the Snapdragon 860 only operates on the 4G network.
Meanwhile, to help the Snapdragon 860 work more optimally, the POCO X3 Pro is equipped with a choice of LPDDR4X RAM ranging from 6GB or 8GB along with UFS 3.1 storage between 128GB and 256GB which can still be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.
Completing the specifications, POCO X3 Pro brings Hi-Res Audio certified dual speakers, Z-axis linear motor to provide a more enjoyable gaming experience combined with LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus, a feature to help cool CPU temperatures consisting of Multi-layer graphite and D5 copper heat pipe.
There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security besides taking advantage of the AI Face Unlock feature, multifunctional NFC support, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, IR blaster, USB Type-C port, and the 3.5mm headphone jack doesn’t fall behind in the package.
POCO X3 Pro is also resistant to dust and water splashes because it is IP53 rated. Meanwhile, to keep it running all day long, the smartphone that runs the MIUI 12 interface with POCO launcher based on the Android 11 operating system has a large battery with a capacity of 5,160 mAh.
Charging a large battery on the POCO X3 Pro also doesn’t need to wait long, because Xiaomi has equipped this smartphone with 33W fast charging technology which it claims only takes 30 minutes to get 59% power or 59 minutes to charge up to 100%.
