Review Oppo A57 5G – Oppo announced the A57 5G smartphone which brings attractive specifications for the budget class.

Oppo A57 5G

The Oppo A57 5G uses a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a waterdrop notch. The screen supports HD Plus with a resolution of 1,612×720 pixels. What’s interesting about this part of the screen is the 90Hz refresh rate.

That may not be a luxury for 2022, but on the other hand there are still many smartphones that only support a 60Hz refresh rate, especially in the budget class. The screen also offers a wide color gamut with around 100% sRGB in natural mode and 100% DCI-P3 in Vivid mode.

The smartphone is a budget class that uses a 5G class chipset, and it is at least more ready than other devices launched with older chipsets.

The Oppo A57 5G carries the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, which is a replacement chipset from the MediaTek Dimensity 700. It offers a higher clock speed and a more efficient 6nm architecture.

Then there is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for the base variant. But there is also a choice of 8GG RAM. It’s interesting to see Oppo offers higher RAM where there are still many other manufacturers who are loyal to 4GB RAM for the base variant.

Furthermore, the 6GB RAM variant also has faster UFS 2.2 storage. To bring 8GB RAM, Oppo had to downgrade UFS to 2.1. If you still need more storage, users can install a micro SD card.

In terms of cameras, not much has changed from this device. It offers a simple camera setup with a 13MP main camera on the back. There is also a 2MP depth camera to assist in portrait mode. The front camera in the waterdrop notch is an 8MP camera. While the maximum video recording capability is 1080 pixels at 30 fps.
