Review Nokia XR20 – HMD as the licensee for the Nokia smartphone brand has just released quite a few new devices, namely two smartphones, a feature phone and TWS earphones in three different series. There are two products that attract the most attention, but the most premium is the Nokia XR20.

Through the Nokia XR20, a mid-range 5G Android smartphone is presented that is specially certified, uses the strongest glass material and carries a ZEISS camera lens. From the exterior appearance, it is very visible when the Nokia XR20 is designed to be durable. The case looks thick/rugged, with a thickened bezel. This smartphone has pocketed the MIL-STD-810H certification, it is claimed to be resilient even from a height of 1.8 meters. Combined with IP68 dust and water resistance up to 1.5 meters.

Not only the body, the front glass of the Nokia XR20 has also been coated with Gorilla Glass Victus, generally only used in the flagship series. This protection series from Corning is also designed to be more resistant to shattering when dropped. The screen itself is quite large at 6.67 inches, full HD + resolution with an IPS panel.

HMD designed the Nokia XR20’s screen to be usable even with gloves or wet hands. In terms of cameras, although in small numbers, HMD embeds optics from ZEISS. There is only a 48MP f/1.8 sensor plus a 13MP ultra wide-angle on the back, and an 8MP punch-hole type on the front.

The Snapdragon 480 5G chipset is entrusted to run various user applications, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which can still be expanded via a microSD card. Designed to be durable inside and out, the Nokia XR20 is guaranteed three Android series and four years of monthly security updates going forward, until 2025.

The battery is quite fashionable at 4,630 mAh, but HMD provides an unusual charging solution for a smartphone in this segment. In addition to supporting 18W fast charging, the Nokia XR20 can also be charged wirelessly via 15W fast wireless charging.
