Review Motorola Defy (2021) – It’s been a while since we’ve seen a powerful Motorola smartphone, but the company seems keen to revive the Defy brand this year, with a device called the Motorola Defy 2021, which has now been completely leaked.
The phone has IP68 water and dust resistance, with a water depth of 1.5 meters for up to 35 minutes. It is also “drop resistant”, able to withstand falls from a height of up to 1.8 meters on steel.
Additionally, the 2021 Defy complies with Military Spec 810H, is resistant to vibration, humidity, salt spray and thermal shock, and handles high temperature differences between -30°C and 75°C for up to 30 minutes.
The 2021 Defy has a 6.5-inch 720 x 1600 touchscreen with Gorilla Glass Victus glass on top, and is bolted into a 0.5mm frame for added drop protection.
Above it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. On the back is a triple camera system with a 48MP main camera and two decorative cameras (2MP, 2MP depth), while selfies are handled by an 8MP camera on the front.
The Motorola Defy 2021 has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 20W charging. It runs Android 10 with the promised upgrade to Android 11, and that’s probably the most disappointing thing about it, as of mid-2021. The phone measures 169.8 x 78.2 x 10.9 mm, weighs 232 grams.
