As mentioned, the under-display camera solution is the main star of the Axon 20 5G. Carrying a camera hidden under the screen is not an easy matter and there are many obstacles that must be faced, including one of which is the result of a sub-standard camera due to the lack of light reaching the sensor.

But ZTE managed to overcome this by applying many new technologies, including a special organic and inorganic film layer that allows increased light entry from the display area to the front camera.

In addition, ZTE also provides an independent dual-control chip along with an integrated driver circuit for color synchronization which ensures that the front display does not affect the inner camera when light passes through it.

The Axon 20 5G has a 32 megapixel selfie camera and a quad-camera setup on the back which is mounted in a rectangular camera module complete with an LED flash inside.

The four cameras consist of a 64-megapixel main camera which is then accompanied by an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultrawide camera and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras, each of which is a macro lens and a depth sensor.

The ZTE Axon 20 5G relies on Qualcomm’s mid-range processor called Snapdragon 765G which is built on a 7nm EUV process with 1x Kryo 475 Gold (Cortex-A76) along with 6x Kryo 475 Silver (Cortex-A55) and GPU Adreno 620.

To make the Snapdragon 765G chipset, which also has an integrated 5G model, can work optimally, the ZTE Axon 20 5G comes paired with a choice of RAM between 6GB or 8GB and internal storage ranging from 128GB and 256GB.

The smartphone running on Android 10 OS based on the Mifavor 10.5 interface is powered by a 4,220 mAh battery with support for 30 Watt fast-charging technology to charge faster via USB Type-C.
