Review Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power – But even though they are the same smartphone, there is a slight difference between the two, namely in photography. Unlike the Redmi Note 9 4G which only offers a triple-camera on the back, the Redmi 9 Power comes boasting a rear quad-camera setup,
But apart from the rear camera, the remaining specifications are more or less the same as the Redmi Note 9 4G. This is where the Redmi 9 Power arrives featuring a 6.53-inch diagonal IPS LCD panel covered in Gorilla Glass 3 which provides a Full HD Plus screen resolution (2,340 × 1080 pixels) and a high aspect ratio of 19.5: 9.
The screen is also TÜV Rheinland certified and it packs a dewdrop-notch design with a small notch at the top that is home to a single 8 megapixel camera for taking selfies or video calls.
The smartphone is packed with a textured and patterned body designed to be anti-fingerprint, which at first glance reminds us of the Realme C3. Of course there is a quad-camera mounted vertically complete with an LED flash just below it.
The four cameras consist of a 48 megapixel main camera which is further combined with an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera. There are also two cameras left, namely a 2 megapixel depth sensor and finally a 2 megapixel macro camera which is not owned by the Redmi Note 9 4G.
The main highlight in Redmi 9 Power is the 6,000 mAh capacity battery which is quite large and should be sufficient to meet the needs of users in carrying out exciting activities throughout the day which are also equipped with the Ultra Battery Saver Mode feature.
Charging will also be faster thanks to the presence of 18W Fast Charge technology via the USB Type-C port. But what’s interesting is that Xiaomi ships with a 22.5W Fast Charger instead of 18W.
Xiaomi entrusts Snapdragon 662 for this new smartphone which is Qualcomm’s octa-core processor offering clocks up to 2.0GHz. Snapdragon 662 is built on an 11nm process which delivers high performance along with low power consumption.
To help Snapdragon 662 work more optimally, Redmi 9 Power has 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM combined with internal storage options starting from 64GB using UFS 2.1 and 128GB using the UFS 2.2 type.
The storage capacity can still be expanded via a microSD card slot up to 512GB without having to sacrifice a single SIM card slot. Because this phone supports 3 SIMs (2 nano SIM + 1 microSD) and both SIMs are equipped with the ability to access 4G connectivity simultaneously.
Completing the specifications, we get Hi-Res audio certified stereo speakers, a side-placed fingerprint sensor to unlock the device in addition to taking advantage of the AI Face Unlock feature. Other additions are Wi-Fi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and navigation features such as GPS, AGPS, Glonass, to Beidou.
