The presence of the Xiaomi 12T Pro is the momentum for Xiaomi to officially enter the era of the 200 MP mobile camera. The new smartphone with a one-inch sensor is supported by a 200-megapixel main camera.

the 200 MP camera power behind the Xiaomi 12T Pro body is built using the Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor, a 1/1.22-inch sensor with 0.64 micron pixels, which can be grouped into 1.28 microns (4-in-1) or even 2, 56 microns (16-in-1) depending on lighting conditions and usage scenarios.
There’s no telephoto lens inside, but the high-resolution sensor natively supports twice digital zoom. The camera can also shoot 8K video and record HDR10 Plus footage and has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for longer exposures in the dark and more stable footage. Plus advanced features like eye tracking and motion tracking autofocus.
In addition to the 200 MP camera which is the main lens, there are three other lenses as companions. The three lenses are an 8 MP ultrawide adjacent to a 1/4” (1/1.12 micron pixel) sensor and a 120-degree f/2.2 lens and a 2 MP macro camera.
On the front, there is a selfie camera that is no less interesting. At the top of the screen, there is a 20 MP selfie camera (1/3.47-inch, 0.8 micron, f/2.24 and 78-degree lens). Also on the front is an in-display fingerprint reader.
While in the display sector, the Xiaomi 12T Pro comes packing a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels (20:9, 446 ppi). The screen refresh rate is also high and can run at 120 Hz. Or you can let it automatically switch between 30, 60, 90 and 120 Hz modes.
The display panel is a 12-bit panel with HDR10 Plus and Dolby Vision. Promises perfect color imagery thanks to in-factory calibration. It has a typical brightness of 500 nits (peak 900 nits) and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
On the inside, the Xiaomi 12T Pro still comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage in the base version. Other storage variants are 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB. The phone was launched with Android 12 (MIUI 13).
The Xiaomi 12T Pro is powered by a sizable 5,000 mAh battery with 120 watts of fast charging. For information, there are some phones that have power up to 120 Watts, but most have smaller batteries and less than 5,000 mAh.
The smartphone has stereo speakers (tuned by Harman Kardon, with Dolby Atmos support), there’s Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC (in some regions). The Xiaomi 12T Pro is a dual-SIM smartphone with the cheapest 5G connectivity.
