Review Sony Xperia 8 Lite – The Sony Xperia 8 Lite is a mid-range smartphone with a focus on a slim form factor which looks a lot like Xperia 10. Even the spec sheets brought by it are almost identical, except in the photography sector.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite was launched by packing a 6-inch LCD screen that offers Full HD Plus resolution. Like most other Sony Xperia smartphones, the Xperia 8 Lite has a screen with a high aspect ratio of 21: 9 which is suitable for watching videos.
There is a top bezel thick enough to accommodate a single 8 megapixel selfie camera with f / 2.0 aperture. While on the back, Sony has embedded a dual-camera setup on this new smartphone.
The two cameras housed in that pill-like design consist of a 12 megapixel f / 1.8 aperture main camera and an 8 megapixel f / 2.4 aperture telephoto lens. There’s also a complementary LED flash that’s mounted right above the camera setup.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor launched three years ago paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
If it’s still lacking, users can take advantage of the microSD card slot to add more storage capacity up to 512GB. Rounding out the specs, we get a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-positioned fingerprint sensor.
The Sony Xperia 8 Lite is also IPX5 / IPX8 and IPX6 certified which makes it water and dust resistant. Unfortunately, this smartphone still relies on Android 9 Pie as the operating system, not the newer Android 10.
Meanwhile, to make it usable all day long, the Sony Xperia 8 Lite smartphone is powered by a 2,870 mAh capacity battery that can be charged via the USB Type-C port.
