Review Huawei Y9a – The Huawei Y9a comes featuring a motorized pop-up design that makes it completely free of the notch or punch hole that is usually used to accommodate selfie cameras.

The screen itself uses a 6.63-inch LCD panel that offers Full HD Plus resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and the presence of a motorized pop-up module makes it successful in delivering an impressive 92% screen-to-body ratio.

The pop-up module itself is home to a 16 megapixel camera that will surface when users take selfies or video calls. While in hindsight we get a quad-camera setup.

The four cameras are packaged in a circular camera design like the Mate 30 Pro flagship, one of which is the 64 megapixel main camera. This is bigger than the Enjoy 20 Plus, which uses a 48 megapixel main camera.

There are also three remaining cameras consisting of an 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120 degree field of view which is further accompanied by a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixel macro lens for taking close-up photos.

Unlike the Enjoy 20 Plus which is powered by Dimensity 720, this time Huawei has entrusted the Helio G80 chipset to drive the Huawei Y9a smartphone, although both belong to MediaTek, Huawei Y9a loses 5G capabilities because the Helio G80 is not equipped with 5G connectivity support.

Meanwhile, to make the Helio G80 processor work more optimally, there is already a choice of LPDDR4x RAM starting from 6GB or 8GB and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage which supports an NM card slot to expand storage capacity up to 256GB.

The Huawei Y9a is powered by a 4,300 mAh capacity battery, and another highlight of this smartphone that is no less interesting is that it is equipped with 40W SuperCharge fast-charging technology which we usually only find in high-end Huawei smartphone lines.

It is certain that the presence of 40W SuperCharge allows Huawei Y9a to get power faster. Completing the specifications, there is a fingerprint sensor that is placed on the side, 4G LTE support, WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.

GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack don’t fall behind in the package either. Finally, the Huawei Y9a runs the EMUI 10.1 interface with HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) which is based on the Android 10 OS.
