Huawei MatePad Pro 11 Review
Huawei released their new MatePad Pro 11 tablet. The tablet is advertised as the thinnest and lightest 11-inch tablet with a thickness of 5.9mm and a weight of 449g.
But the iPad Pro 11 released last year is also the same thickness. While the Samsung tablet with a larger screen is also thinner. But for this size, the weight of 449g is something that is unbeatable.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 has a 120Hz OLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. This tablet is the first tablet with Care Display 3.0 certification from TUV Rheinland.
In his announcement, Huawei CEO Richard Yu mentioned the Snapdragon 5nm chipset. However, the specifications on the official website mention two models. The first model uses Snapdragon 888 (5nm chip) and the second model uses Snapdragon 870 (7nm).
GSM Arena reported on Wednesday (27/7), this tablet uses 3D graphene and a vapor chamber to keep the chipset cool. The chipset is paired with 8 or 12GB of RAM, 128, 256 and 512GB of internal memory. There is optional 4G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2 with AAC and LDAC for Audio. In addition there is a USB-C port that offers speeds of 3.1 Gen 1.
This tablet uses HarmonyOS 3.0 with some improvements. One of them is called Card Folder, which lets you stack some groups of widgets on top of others. This feature makes the front page look neat. Huawei has also redesigned the multitasking interface to make it easier to use. You can run two apps side by side and two app balloons.
This tablet uses a battery capacity of 8,300 mAh, enough to play 11.5 hours of video. Models using Snapdragon 888 support 66W SuperCharge, but are sold with a 40W charger. While the Snapdragon 870 version supports 40W charging but is sold with a 22.5W charger.
There is a dual camera on the back consisting of a 13MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide. The front camera is 16MP. Huawei uses the Golden Black color on this tablet, which changes color when exposed to light from different angles.
The back has a frosted finish which makes it more durable and does not leave fingerprints when held.
For accessories, there is the Huawei M-Pencil with a new color, namely white, which is more comfortable to hold and offers a smoother writing experience.
In addition there is a new magnetic smart keyboard with 1.5mm key travel. The keyboard can be used separately from the tablet. The kickstand case is adjustable from 120° to 165°. This helps users who want to use the tablet to sketch or write. The casing offered also provides a case for the stylus.
The keyboard also has an antenna in it that functions as a WiFi amplifier. So you can get a stronger signal. The keyboard and case will be sold in packages for some versions of the tablet and will be sold separately for other versions.
