For information, the Google Tensor SoC has eight processor cores (CPU) with speeds up to 2.8 GHz, combined with an ARM Mali-G78 graphics processor (GPU). Thanks to Tensor, Google claims the CPU performance of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is 80 percent higher than its predecessor, and 370 percent faster in the GPU aspect.

The design of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro also now looks fresher. On the back, both phones come with a rectangular, black camera module that runs horizontally from edge to edge.

The Google Pixel 6 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD Plus resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. In addition to the Tensor chip, the Pixel 6 has 8 GB of RAM and two internal memory options, namely 128 GB and 256 GB. The battery has a capacity of 4,615 mAh and supports 30W fast charging.

For photography, the flagship smartphone carries an 8 MP (f/2.0) selfie camera which is loaded in a punch hole module. On the back, there are also two cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera (f/1.9, OIS) and a 12 MP ultra wide camera (f/2.2).

Google claims the phone’s main camera is capable of absorbing 150 percent more light and producing night mode photos, aka Night Sight, which are brighter than the cameras on previous generations of Pixel phones.

while the Google Pixel 6 Pro carries a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a QHD Plus resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate that can adjust to the content displayed to save power.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro carries an 11.1 MP (f/2.2) selfie camera which is also contained in a punch hole module at the top center of the cellphone screen. The camera on the back is similar to the Pixel 6 but the “Pro” variant has one extra camera, namely a 48 MP telephoto camera (f/3.5, OIS) which has optical zoom capabilities of up to 4x as quoted by GSM Arena.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro has 12 GB of RAM and three choices of internal memory, namely 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The battery is also bigger than the “regular” Pixel 6 at 5,003 mAh. However, the fast charging technology is still the same, which is 30W.

The two latest Pixel phones also run the latest Android 12 operating system (OS) and will receive Android version updates for three years.
