Watch Series 7 features 20% larger screen area. In addition, the outer edge is only 1.7 mm or 40% much smaller than its predecessor. For the Always-on screen, when the hand is lowered, the brightness is 70% brighter in the room than the Watch Series 6.

The new Apple Watch has 18 hours of life throughout the day and comes with 33% faster charging, according to Apple’s website.

Apple also equips this new smartwatch with IP6X certification for dust resistance. It also has a WR50 waterproof rating.

A number of health and fitness tools are also included in this Apple Watch 7. Among them are heart sensors, ECG and blood oxygen.

The device is powered by watchOS 8.0, so it can help users stay healthy, active and connected to new things. For example new workout types, new Mindfulness app, accessibility features, greater access to Apple Wallet and more capabilities with Home.

WatchOS 8 also brings updates for cyclists. The device uses advanced algorithms to analyze GPS data, heart rate, accelerometer and gyroscope to detect when users start cycling and prompt them to do outdoor exercises.
